About

My name is Leah. I'm newly married and we are both rejoicing together in the wonderful provision of God in our lives.

Shortly after I was saved in 2005, God gave me a desire to see His name glorified among the least reached of the world.

My first love is Christ. Secondarily I have a love for languages, children, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, flying, being in the outdoors, and of course, telling others about Jesus.

I hope this blog might encourage young women to see everyday life in an eternal light.  I want to pursue an all-encompassing vision for God's glory both here, and to every nation, tribe and tongue, won't you join me?

"Impress upon my mind
the shortness of time,
the work to be engaged in
the account to be rendered
the nearness of eternity..."  -Valley of Vision

Your sister in this journey

It is always a pleasant event to meet a sister in Christ, who desires to put God first. Glad to see you on the web and I pray your blog will prosper in Christ. My daughter and I have a blog about living for Christ as stay-at-home mother and daughter. She was homeschooled from beginning to high school and beyond, as we do not believe learning ends. When the Lord comes into our lives we want to do grand things for Him but often He will work in the smaller missions of everyday life first to teach us how to serve. If we wait on the Lord, He will teach us much that we must learn before He can call us to greater things. It is diligence in the small that we grow in Christ; mature to the greater calling of first child of God; then wife, mother, and then missions; either in the one-another-ing of the home, extended family, church family then community; or in a much larger scale. God is concerned that we learn family life for that teaches us about the kingdom of God in ways we will not learn any other way. Either by singleness within the family unit or by marriage, yet it is in dieing to self and our agendas first that opens the doors. It is my prayer God blesses you with your hearts desires.

Thank you so much for stopping by but more than that thank you for all your kind words. I enjoyed reading what you had to say and hope that the Lord blesses you and your daughter as well as you seek to follow the Biblical role God has graciously given to women. It is a high and wonderful calling and is something I daily delight in. The many ways we can impact the world and others for eternity is truly larger than we can even imagine or are even aware of. I think that alone is exciting and challenging!:)

Ohh, thanks for stopping by! Yes, in terms of how we do certain things or what we appreciate, we do have similarities. But, we are very different in how we view salvation. I am sure you would agree salvation is the most important part as well. It is vital for man to be made right with God. You're welcome to email me to just chat anytime. I would love to, we could talk some about Christianity and Islam, I am sure it would be very good conversation. :)
