Basil and Garlic Cheese Pizza

Basil & Garlic Cheese Pizza

1lb pizza dough or one recipe of this
2 1/2 cups  grated mozzarella cheese
1/8 cup parmesan
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried basil (I would've used fresh if I wasn't such an expert at killing my basil plants...)
Approx. 1/8 cup olive oil

  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Form dough into a round about 10-12" in diameter on a pizza peel sprinkled with cornmeal. Be careful to not press out all of the air bubbles by stretching the dough into shape rather than rolling it flat with a rolling pin.
  3. Sprinkle cheeses on top along with basil and minced garlic.
  4. Drizzle oil over entire pizza.
  5. Set aside and let rise for about 30 minutes. Dough should start to puff and bubble in various places.
  6. Slide the risen pizza off of the peel and onto the hot stone.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Serves: 2

Valiant for our God

Oh, that we may know our God: His power, His faithfulness, His immutable love, and so may be ready to risk everything in His behalf. He is One whose character excites our enthusiasm and makes us willing to live and to die for Him. Oh, that we may know our God by familiar fellowship with Him; for then we shall become like Him and shall be prepared to stand up for truth and righteousness. He who comes forth fresh from beholding the face of God will never fear the face of man. If we dwell with Him, we shall catch the heroic spirit, and to us a world of enemies will be but as the drop of a bucket. A countless array of men, or even of devils, will seem as little to us as the nations are to God, and He counts them only as grasshoppers. Oh, to be valiant for truth in this day of falsehood.

C.H. Spurgeon

Staggering to slaughter

Deliver those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back. Proverbs 24:11

Newlywed life so far

I am back and it feels like I have so much to update on.
Married life has been positively wonderful these past two, almost three months. It has been full of love, laughter, tears, deep discussions, kisses, hugs, dates, evening walks, prayers together, and travels.

And the two shall become one...

I'm very happily married to the most wonderful man now. We are amazed at the goodness, kindness and grace of God toward us.
"Thus far hath the Lord helped us..." and we are confident that by His continual grace we will continue to serve Him together for many years to come. How good our God is and how unworthy we are to be blessed by such things as He so bountifully gives us. We've made a covenant before God and man, we're married and we are so very happy!!

More pictures soon.:)
